It's so cold here I wore sweat pants most of the day while working at home. Back in shorts now, though.

It is blowing pretty good right now. looks like about a foot so far, could be another foot by tomorrow. a 2 ft snow cover is kinda nice as it covers all the extension cords and hoses.

Looks like well over 2 ft of white shit out there.
Holy shit, even the lawn mower is buried.
Suppose i need to get up on the roof and shovel it. At least I will have a soft landing when I fall off.

At work yesterday, the mensas in charge made the call to stay open. :?
They have a policy that says anyone is free to stay home and that no marks will be made against their attendance if they choose to do so, but still, they know there are some dumbfukks that will come to work and likely be stranded there.
So, rather than shutting it down and saving a fukk ton of cayshe on the electric bill, they are "open" with likely a few dozen idiots not smart enough to stay/go home. As a result a small bit of work will get done. That work (mail) won't fukking go anywhere as we do not have a fleet of snowmobiles or dogsleds to get it to the post office, but, so what. At least we're open for business.

Looks like another snow based workout today in my driveway. I got a great workout last night knocking the heavy as fuck snow off one of my trees. It was hanging into my driveway and making passage impossible. After about 100 whacks with a shovel, I had gotten most of the snow off the mangy bastard. Only then could I actually shovel.

Not even a dusting of snow here in God's Country, aka the District of Columbia.

y'know, they make these things called chainsaws. You should use one this spring, then heat your house with that mangy fukk next winter.
so, did the coastal storm reach all the way into CNY or is it just the usual non-fukking stop lake effect shit you fukks get pertty much daily? crapchester has the be the most miserable fukking place on the planet this time of year with its chinese water torture like non-stop lake effect bullshit. you fukkers seriously ought to consider just draining that good for nothing swamp, even if it does serve as a handy moat to keep the upper messicans out.

Cortland NY 3/93. I'm having some kind of fun moving frozen water with my Sear's Craftsman Drift buster. Got my Rony Seikaly Miami Heat hat on.
Needless to say, I do not miss that kind of weather at all. Will go for a swim here later. Pool water is 87ยบ. Life is good.

I love how shit like this makes national news. For me, it's called Tuesday. We got ass blasted with about two feet of snow the other day. Then the temp shot up to 40 degrees and half of it melted, making for a nice sludgy mess all over the roads, challenging all the idiot drivers out there.

You know, they make these things called garden sheds or garages. You put things in them that you should not leave out in the winter weather. Of course from the looks of your hole, what the fuck do you need a lawn mower for anyway ?

Fukk living on the leeward side of any of those godforesaken snow generators in the U&M. up there i guess you just pray for it to get cold enough to freeze the whole fukking thing over so it stops shitting snow on you every day.
Kinda surprised we haven't had dimsdale in yet to remind us that some of the hills in his neck of the woods get 37 feet of snow before lunch pretty much every day of the week. really need to go visit mom soon and maybe get hammered on beast light with wolfie as he lives in the same neighborhood.

The weather here is more bi-polar than an un-medicated AP. It will go from storm of the century to 50 and sunny in 24 hours, easy.

Mountains dude..mountains..where snow is confined to about 3000 feet and higher this time of year where it belongs.
The modified maritime climate of the PDX area where it is a bit foggy today, about 48 degrees with some new growth showing on the plants.
Have fun with that snow.

I must admit I kinda like the way you left coast folk sort your weather out as a function of altitude. But, you have to admit those a-holes in local do it even better as the upper end of the altitude thermostat goes about 20 degrees higher and they actually have ocean water you can get into without dieing in 10 minutes.

I'll have you know that my lawnmower is toasty warm and dry in the basement, right next to my ext cords which believe it or not are actually coiled up. And no, I didn't do it yesterday.
It was a few weeks ago.

My 1989 Dodge Spirit in the garage. Bought it new in '89 and had it till 2000 when I gave it to my younger daughter in Buffalo. Had 230K on it then. I think we had a "what cars did you own" thread once.

230K? Must have been on its 12th tranny by then. FWD mopars of that vintage went through trannies like M2 goes through anal lube.

Is that enough? Don't you need to have work don on the hydraulics before you are "technically a tranny"?
doubt that's happening on big orange box coin. i guess he could get himself locked away in massatwoshits and have ucunt pay for it.

prolly Ct. Vt didn't get that much from this storm as they are well inland. also, Vt is used to this sort of shit and would have the truckers on their way soon. they have real snow removal equipment up there.

Wnt out this afternoon for chinese (as if anything else would be open). Roads were pretty shitty at 4:30, but much improved by 7 when we got home. Tomorrow will warm up a bit. He should be on his way before noon.
