Not sure this is that great of a get for the Broncos. So many times, the chemistry between a QB and a receiver are the key components. Welker is a great slot receiver when Brady is throwing it to him, but not so sure he'll enjoy the same kind of success with Manning (although everybody knows Manning doesn't throw it any further than 15 to 20 yards). No doubt, his presence will open opportunities for the other receivers, but whether he enjoys the kind of success he had with NE remains to be seen.

Welker will give Manning another target and will be a viable weapon in the Bronco offense. I was hoping the Bears would sign him to give Cutler an option other than Marshall, but I guess they'll have to look for someone else to sign. Good signing for the Broncos and I think he'll put up some numbers with Manning.

one thing I will say though, I think Elway is fucking brilliant....I had serious doubts about his ability to be a front office guy....when he jettisoned Tebow, and took a flyer on Manning, that was a huge risk on his part....but it's paid off in spades.....Welker's presence is going to create big time matchup problems....with Demaryius Thomas on one side, Eric Decker on the other, and Welker in the slot, the Denver offense will be a fucking nightmare for opposing teams.....

Don't overthink it. Welker's still got some football left in him, and it won't take long for him and Manning to get on the same page.

Welker will get 100+ receptions with Mannings throwing to him.
