there's a follow up video the guitar tech guy made where he actually found some people playing one of those 8 strings
I'm with him, I don't get it.....the thing sounds like shit, you'd need gorilla fingers to play any kind of barre chord, the lower two strings are just as spray predicted distorted as fuck, it makes any conventional chord sound completely off kilter, and what's the point?
the whole thing reminds me of one scene in This Is Spinal Tap

Neatest thing I recently heard {and maybe I'm the last one}
I'd heard a few things by Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, but I was stunned at the rock/blues/ duane allman style sound of this.
And for 1936? Fukken classic.

I'd like to see and hear if Jimmy Page could tame that monster any. Seems there's a ton of interviews and vid clip of him in the past few years. Maybe someone should put that thing in his hands for a spin.
