Saw George at the Clark County Fair in 1989. Myself and a couple other guys were standing outside his bus, hollering for him to come out and have a beer with us. He slid the window open, said he don't drink with ugly fuckers like us and shut the window. He came out about 20 minutes later, visited with us, jammed a helmet on, got on a Harley and rode off. He was about an hour late for his show later on.

I imagine if they tried to cremate him, the explosion would dwarf that fertilizer plant.

We can now properly calculate the life expectancy of Kieth Richards. He'll punt out at 81.

RIP, George. He was truly one of the great country artists and made some of the best beer drinkin' music ever. Spent many a weekend in my early adult years gettin' drunk, dancin' to his tunes, and tryin' to get laid.

Got to hand it to George...81, drinking, whoring, smoking, speed, coke, honky tonkin, dude should have never made it that far.

Hit the low note well on this tune...

You can tell how much he influenced the likes of Mark Chestnut and Alan Jackson, George Strait and a host of others.

I think it's safe to say we all did things in our early years we aren't proud of.

Thank buddha and the spaghetti monster being a country music gay groupie wasn't one of those things, in my case.

But, rack derron anyhoo for sharing that little tidbit with us.

I'll bet if you did a poll of 50 year old, former gay groupies, you'd find more than a few C-bags.

LOL. I missed some of the hidden euphemisms in Derron's first post but going back and re-reading it starts getting clearer and clearer.

Very sad indeed. One of the all time greats.

I was recently looking at the possibility of making a roadie to western New York in August to catch his only appearence in the area.

The reason you missed them is because they are not there. Unless you read the fag element some find in every post on here.
