Just one more data point on why we shouldn't have any polls until Oct.

Stanford has gained a lot of respect in the past few years and is ranked in the top 5 in a lot of preseason polls.
The challenge now is to live up to it.

They went 12-2 last year, with 7 W's by 7 points or less and both losses by 7 or less. They were a couple of plays from having a shot at the MNC, but also a few plays from being a .500 team. Now that they are on a lot more radar screens, the coming season will show a lot about the quality of the program.

How in the hell are the 3rd and 4th ranked teams "underrated?" Good lord, that's just lazy.

How does the perennial preseason #5, Michigan, not make this list?

there's also that basketball postseason thing that decides the champion in an elimination tournament. i'd say that's more "together", too.

So is giving up ticktes because your team isn't good.

Uh... hello?

Michigan has been in the preseason top 5... seems like too many times to count. And the number of times they've finished anywhere near the top 5 was?
