I'll be at my usual spot in the blue lot in case any of you schmucks make it to the Big House this year. Today we will be featuring Bloody Mary's with my very own mix, beer, veggies and dip, assorted cheeses and crackers, potato salad, and St. Louis style ribs hot off the grill. Another CFB season is here. Good luck to all your teams not named Central Michigan.
Do any of you guys actually go the the games? What's on your menu?

Re: Tailgate menu.....
I am sure I attend more college games than most here. Sadly those are not RICE games. I also don't get to tailgate.
If you have an extra ticket let me know and if it works with my schedule I will come use it and eat you tailgate food.
Hope you are Tito's or Dripping Springs vodka in those Bloddy Mary's. No sense going to the trouble of making your own mix to just ruin it with an imported vodka.

With Oregon's slow rise to prominence, so have risen the ticket prices. And with "only" 60K seats, they go quickly. Not the inexpensive outing it used to be. And it's 90 miles away, and heaven forbid OS plays an afternoon home game the same day, since it's the same freeway (I-5) that services both schools from the population centers outside of Eugene and Corvallis - if you're not on the road by about 6:30AM, you're scrambling to get in the door. When the games are simultanious or within an hour of each other, the state cops actually close down lanes on I-5 for dedicated ballgame traffic. In other words, just getting there from Portland is a mess. Plus, if we're planning on drinking (uhm... hello?), we need a place to stay for at least a few hours in Eugene.
As much as I lovelovelove going to games, it's a pain in the ass. And since every week of the season, I can find massive parties (I think we're having our own today, I think) locally, it takes some of the sting out of going to the game. Plus, Autzen is so fucking loud, my aging ears don't recover as quickly as they usedd to - shit's still ringing monday morning, and earplugs are for sissies and Kalfans.
But I still want to go to the Tennessee game... I'll see if I can make that happen.
