CU pretty much has one thing going for it.
But daaaaaaamn, that one thing is a fine fucking player.
Eating up the Ducks. Pretty sure that won't last, but nice to have a little entertainment value.
Paul Richardson is stupid-good... but we already knew that, and still can't stop him.

That was one of the ugliest passes I've ever seen, but I liked the result. I should probably just turn it off now. I doubt it's gonna get any better.

Ha. I literally hit "submit" one second before a 75-yard Ducks TD. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. And then Oregon gets a pick and another TD before I can finish mashing out this post. Oy.

I'm a prophet.
CU needs a QB. The one they got sucks.

Yup, Richardson is sick.

BTW, prior to today, Mariota had played in 17 career games.
He's seen action in the 4th quarter in 2 of them.
Kinda thinking it will be 2 for 18 soon.
And things don't drop off much going to Locke or Rodriguez.

He should at least be in the Heisman discussion, but his team's awfulness overshadows his ridiculous talent. Call it the Randle El effect.

The little I've seen of him this season had me convinced, but after watching this effort, he may indeed be the best player in the country.
He should probably transfer to Oregon.

Byron Marshall is winning me over this game. Frankly, Duckfan has been spoiled with RBs in recent years, moreso than any other program, and to date, Marshall was a bit of a letdown. I mean, Reuben Droughns, Maurice Morris, Terrence Whitehead, Jonathan Stewart, Jerimiah Johnson, Lagarrette Blount, LaMike, Kenjon... all but 2 of those guys have taken snaps in the NFL (and Kenjon will, he's been hurt). But Byron is good at using his blocks.
Don't matter, Tyner is going to make all of them look like chump change.

I wish we could loan him to you for the MNC game. He'd be fun to watch on a real team.

As I was about to start typing, he dropped one.
Be nice to have him, but for the first time in my life, the Ducks are 4 deep at reciever... all of them really good. Josh Huff is the best downfield blocker in the country.
Announcers just said Richardson has 3 catches for 114 yards...
for real? That's a decent half. If the QB could throw for a shit, he'd have double that. And he's got 55 yards (?) passing and a passing TD to boot.
SICK performance under the bright spotlight. Love that guy.

Why do teams always line up deep against Oregon on 3rd and very long? They never go deep.
CU just got Tynered.
His Oregon career will be just as electrifying as his high school career.

QB play at CU has been below average for 20 years. Connor Wood is just the latest....and also part of the shit storm of the Garrett Gilbert saga....which brings us the David Ash/Case McCoy two headed monster and Connor Wood transferring to CU. At least he doesn't have to play in Eric Bienemy's offense...
CU doesn't have the talent to play with anyone really and overall record may not reflect it much this year (4 wins is my guess), but they are improved.

I was thinking the same thing. Even after getting blown out in the first two conference games, this team looks so much better than last year's squad. Wins over Charleston Southern and Cal are virtual locks, but I still feel like they might be able to pick up a fluky win somewhere along the way to finish 5-7.
