At Least We're Not Cal

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program: "So long, Mack. Don't let the door hit ya..."

Belated, I know, but needs to be said. Disapointing performance but not really surprising and that's the story of his tenure.

Mack will retire after the loss to Baylor. He will stay thru the bowl game and ESPN will do 20 days of Mack.

Then as soon as the BCS games are completed the courting of Saban will commence. At some point when the salary talks reach north of $8 Million Saban will accept. It will then be at this point that Sumlin will take a job outside of College Station since he doesn't want to recruit Texas against Sabin.

I hope Saban goes to Texas. The thought of those loons in Tuscaloosa erecting a statue of a guy who winds up using them as a stepping stone is pure gold.

Saban would be lucky to go 6-6 next year at Texas with all the pussies and primadonnas that fill the roster. Texas is a sinking ship with a delusional captain at the helm.

I think that's on the coach not the players. Mack is running a kindergarten and lets them get away with it. His teams have always been soft and undisciplined and they have never been able to take a punch very well.

Tom Coughlin is about to get fired in New York. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing a coach like that come in and kick these fuckheads in their fat, lazy asses and establish some accountability for their performance.

Pretty sure you're withholding an ID in an effort to retain some sort of credibility...

:?

Is this one of those epic mvscal predictions? Like the 2006 midterms and the 2012 election?

And who is it Schmick?

Tom Coughlin is approaching 70 years old. He's also a no-nonsense kinda guy seemingly all about football and little else. I doubt he wants all the drama and day to day responsibilities that come with running a college program. Courting teenagers, banquets, speaking engagements, full-time baby sitter, etc. Yeah...I don't see it.

Maybe not now, but he was a pretty successful college coach and I know he would have dragged his balls through broken glass to get the ND job in 2001.

Doesn't he still have a show cause penalty?

Since when does reality matter to Hornfan?

They're probably eying Pop Warner and Knute Rockne as well.

Haven't heard Tressel at all. The only other name that I have heard besides Sabin is Briles at Baylor. Dude was a long time HS coach in Texas and the HS coaches here love him.

With the long extension and poison pill in that contract, that ship has more than likely sailed.

Plus, I heard Art has a beef with UT/Mack over his kid.

Fat chance. Briles's extension already has him making Mack money. Why make that jump when you can do just as well at Baptist U; recruit the best offensive talent in the country right out of your own back yard; AND kick the ever-loving piss out of big-dog UT on an annual basis?

Briles is about a million below Mack right now, but he or whomever Texas brings in will be double what Briles makes now.

As for beating Texas on an annual basis, what are you smoking? BU lost to a horrible Texas team last year and didn't win a game in the first decade of the century against them. Briles has a losing record against Texas as well.

I don't think Briles gets the job, I was just saying his is the only other name mentioned reguarly around here, but no need to rewrite history in your defense of the guy.

Shut your pie hole. He sucks. No one would want him.
