It's clearly defensive holding, however defensive holding can't be called when the
ball is in the air, isn't that right?
In that case, the ref has to call PI.

But in this case, PI can't be called because the ball was clearly not catchable.


Conclusion: The no-call call was correct

If the flag had not been thrown, the uproar would probably not be as strong.

What made the pass uncatchable? The throw itself or Gronk's position?

The pass looked uncatchable because Gronk seemed to not make a move for it. He may not have made a move because he thought the flag was coming.....or not going to get picked up. He was selling for a PI call like Vlade Divac instead of fighting through it for the ball. Stupid Pollock.
