Zou!!!

Fuck you, Scmick.

It's on, brothers! Mizzou v. Aubie!!

Gonna be a GREAT week! And regardless of who you root for... It's great to be a Tiger!

Great win tonight. Terrible coaching decisions by Hoke and Saban have really fucked up this whole picture though. I have faith that OSU will lose next weekend, but
Bama really threw a monkey wrench in by losing today. Right now I can see voters putting Bama ahead of Mizzou even with a win over Auburn. :?

Z-O-U!

The common denominator here, Mizzou lost to SCL in 2 OT's after choking away a 17 point lead. Auburn beat SCL and now 'bama on flukish plays.

Auburn seems to be a blessed team and while we all know about Mizzou's cursed snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, I say they are the better team.

Doesn't mean they'll win, but they should be favored and goddamnit, they ARE going to win.

Should be expected, Dave.

We're Mizzou.

Regardless, when it looked like pre-season that our ceiling was 9 wins - we would've taken it in a heartbeat.

Now we have a chance to fuck over ESPN's new darling, Auburn. This very well could be the best season in Mizzou history!

Sure looked like he was crying there on the bench. We had a good laugh at that. Can't find any video yet.

It will sure be interesting when polls are released today. Right now, guessing .....

1. FSU
2. OSU
3. Auburn
4. Bama
5. Mizzou

I really think that Bama loss may end up being the Tiger curse that always lurks. Follow me here: I fully expect OSU to lose to Mich St. I also fully expect ONE of the Tiger teams to have given their ALL
yesterday and not be much of a factor in the SEC Championship game. (Hoping that's Auburn.) Given that scenario, I can envision the media darling Bama with one loss edging out one loss Mizzou in the
rankings. That would be how Mizzou typically rolls. :? We have seen it before with other teams, that don't even play in their conference championship game ultimately playing for it all.

I saw him being the first to run across the field and offer congratulations and shake hands. I guess we can't ask Mizzoufan to act like they've been there before.

Did I hear things right? This is Mizzou's 4th 10-win season? Oregon had that many in the last 4 seasons (as did a few others).

And after a successful season, we have a new Mizzou fan crawling out of the woodwork, offering his expertise (straight out of news articles)... how quaint.

Auburn never played SCL this year. They have three wins in the last 30 seconds this season: Mississippi State, Georgia, and now Alabama. MU should be able to score and I see a shoot out with OSU also going down to set up a Florida State pounding of Missouri in the NC game.

Missouri - 37 Auburn - 31

Correct. We could always blame coaching, but apparently that excuse is mutually exclusive to DuckFan.

Fucking travesty if Mizzou makes the MNC game.

They're 1-1 against teams that can compete beyond the Pop Warner level, and any team that schedules like such a joke should be automatically DQed from the MNC game.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog?

Nice diversionary tactic, except it sucked.

See, my team has won 10 games (be 11 in a month), yet the whole country is laughing at us and talking about what a choke this season was, and the fans are disappointed.

"Travesty" is a bit harsh, but I would agree that Mizzou is not one of the two best teams in the country. Still, at 11-1, the Tigers are playing with house money. A BCS berth might be nice, though...

Point taken on scheduling. Here's hoping that Mizzou can restrain itself from scheduling a Missouri State in the near future. Would hate to see such a lowly victory tarnish its run to an MNC...

Man, you really suck at this CFB thing... but considering your origins, I suppose it's expected.

See, if members of a certain conference would stop chickening out of scheduled games, other teams wouldn't be left scrambling to fill open dates.

And leave it to SEC fan to fail to see the difference between scheduling one cupcake and FOUR OOC (not an option in the PAC).

But you Mizzou fans are becoming kind of... cute. Like a little baby who just made a poop, beaming with pride. They're towing a bandwagon behind them, pounding their chest like a blueblood, and the best part of it all... the pinnacle...

As SEC members, one of them just ran OOC scheduling smack... yeah, that actually happened. I just dodged a flying pig, which was then eaten by the monkey that flew out of my ass while riding a unicorn.

Fuckin A dude... brain, THEN keyboard.

I stand corrected - it was the Georgia game I was referring to. A team that Mizzou pounded at Georgia, which only serves to strengthen the case for Mizzou over Auburn.

Invoking the Transitive Property? Really?

Nice job, Wagsoolio. How many consecutive MNC's is that for Mizzou?

Why don't you brag about your win over Tennessee, and then apply the same logic. Vols beat the team that beat you, the same Vols that Oregon beat by 400 points.

Yes, really.

It's a valid comparison, though I knew someone would pull that overused card. Imagine my surprise when it was you.

Oh, dear…

Not THE dreaded, “you’re not very good at this,” smack-blast. Have you no humanity, Dinsdale? Dozens have been sent screaming from chat boards after such scathing denunciation… Around 2002.

Help me remember…

Was it you or was it me that brought up scheduling? Regardless, since I am clearly mistaken that Oregon would never consider lowering itself to schedule a perennial FCS doormat in Missouri State, please tell me just WHO it was that the Ducks laid a 56-7 wood-shedding on back in 2011, and I’ll be happy to come correct. TIA

But why stop there, when you can always use an Ohio Valley (2012) or Southland (2013) school to pad your win total as well? Lemme guess: SEC schools backed out on U of O ALL three years. Funny, if you had played a second underachieving SEC school this season, you might’ve qualified for Atlanta. But I digress.

Excuses are like assholes Duck fans, everybody’s got… OK, well, no they don’t, but while you chuck rocks from your glass house, at least Mizzou managed to squeeze in a couple of (lesser) conference champions before taking on Indiana on the road – a replacement foe, might I add, because Illinois was tired of getting its ass kicked in a traditional border rivalry game.

As for the rest of your petulant rant, shouldn’t you be contemplating an Alamo Bowl title at the expense of the Sooners? Er, well, maybe not. Here’s hoping the refs get it right this time.

Holy smokes. A new IKYABWAI variant?

Think about how monumentally stupid your statement is, then go run windsprints with Toejam's kids.

Yup, the Transitive Property is overused, alright... I think you're just a little misinformed as to why.

Hope your team doesn't melt like its fanbase is.

WTF are you talking about?

Neither team has a "case" over the other, and won't until sometime around 7:30 p.m. ET next Saturday.

I'm talking about the proposition of Mizzou actually being *gasp* favored in this game.

That seems to annoy certain people who have no vested interest in the outcome. I wonder why that is?

Re: Miz..

I assume you realize what goes into one team being "favored" over another, and how much difference it makes to the actual game or...why do you actually GARA which team is favored anyway?

Re: Miz..

It's a matter of respect, if nothing else.

It also matters in the pick'em.

Re: Miz..

Posted: Sun Dec 01, 2013 9:03 pm
by Dinsdale
Essentially, a 1.5 spread is all but a pick'em.

Utah beat Stanford, and Oregon hammered Utah, so Oregon should be a big favorite over Stanford should they play next weekend?

Re: Miz..

Posted: Sun Dec 01, 2013 9:13 pm
by War Wagon
actually, a 3 point spread (or less) is all but a pick'em.

But to your question, didn't Stanford already beat Oregon a few weeks ago?

So the speculation is entirely different, especially on a neutral field.

maybe it seems that way now but actually, the 2007 Big XII CCG against OU was bigger in that we controlled our own destiny. If we win that game, we're in, not needing anybody else to lose.

Of course, we know what happened was exactly what we expected to happen. Crushed 38-17 or something like that.

Mizzou wasn't ready for that stage then, they are now.
