I'd call that a good hire if true. Some connection to Texas would be nice but his pedigree is solid.

Oh, yeah? That must be why they designated Muschamp as their "head coach in waiting" what with all of his vast head coaching experience and stuff.
I find it harder to believe that they would be so stupid as to limit their options with some ridiculously dogmatic approach.
