Based on nothing but a buzzed vision I had last night -- Furd is going to blow them out.

I'll go with the premonition, since it can't be any worse that my prognostications based on "logic."

I figured it would be a close, grind-it-out, wire-to-wire affair.

But then I had a vision.

Gaffney's gonna run for 250.

Could be a close game between teams with, on the surface, similar style and stats. Even Cook and Hogan are almost mirror images statistically.

What it comes down to is that Stanford achieved what they have against a much tougher schedule. If not a close game it will be because Stanford pushes them all over the field on both lines a la Stanford vs. ASU.

If Gaffney goes for 130 or more Stanford wins.

Whatever...it's fuckin' on.

Funny...they were calling the Chick Fillet Bowl last night a sellout (41 straight?). I noticed about half the seats in the upper deck empty though.

Wherever the fans are coming from, they don't have to hide the overhead shots from Pasadena. Whatever the outcome, this is what it's all about.

I saw a little bit of it on replay last night after I got back, but that was hardly a sellout. Worst Peach Bowl crowd I've ever seen - but Duke isn't a big draw, and that's a long ride for A&M.

This feels weird -- watching Wisconsin lose in the Rose Bowl had become a New Years Day tradition. It was nice of them to retain some degree of continuity by losing the game before this one.

In spite of the one big mistake, Cook is the best QB we've seen this season. Mariota wasn't at full speed when he played Stanford. Cook has an amazing ability to keep a play alive and find the one open receiver.

Great, competitive game so far. Looking forward to more of the same in the second half.

I haven't watched every game but I don't disagree with that. This game is intense. And I don't know how this is possible but Sparty fan is louder than Tree fan.
