Isolation from other latitudes seems like a good thing right now.

yeah, it's January and it's fucking cold, who knew?

So this cold snap is due to farts making their way into space?

Sorry for eating all those beans, fellers.

It does but its car wouldn't start this morning. I hope mine does. Ten below here. At least it's a dry cold.

High in the 60's today but it'll be raining all day.
High of 8 tomorrow with sheets of ice everywhere.

Cold temps I can handle.
Icy roads? Fuck that.

I am sure there will be some libtard smarty pants in shortly to 'splain why global warming errrrrr climate change is a cause of this historically cold weather.

Low 30's in the morning, upper 40's in the afternoon.

Pretty typical, except it hasn't rained much.

Enjoy your hellholes.

If I wasn't injured, I'd probably go play some golf.

Marty: is it true that there is a patch of snow somewhere in northern Canada that never melts and grows every year?

Hmm. Don't know about the polar vortex and its migrational habits.
The grizzly vortex can be rather tenacious though and it is hell on trout.
Shouldn't poke it with a stick either.

On a side note, would somebody please give Dan Vogel a stick and point him toward the national forest.
Just tell him Smokey likes that sort of thing.

No idea how you folks deal with that crap. Snow and ice all over the roads? You can have it.
Makes for good football games, though. Just ask the Detroit Lions.

I was going to do a "Snowpocalypse" PET, but decided against it.

Snow in places where it snows a lot isn't news.

I would think once it gets to around -2, you really don't notice another 15 or 20 degree drop.

Sorta like here when it's 90 and then it climbs to 100, we just peel another layer of skin off.
It was up to -12 when I was out at lunch. I still zipped up my coat.

When I was a kid I had a morning Syracuse Post-Standard paper route on the North Side. One morning the air temperature was -25ºF. No wind chill BS back then. I bundled up and went out to pick up my papers from the drop off spot. I began to deliver my route as usual. I began to run into problems breathing though the wool scarf I had over my mouth. It kept getting clogged with little ice balls from the moisture of my breath. Eventually I also had problems as my eyelids began to freeze up. I may have delivered about 1/4 of my 80 paper route when I decided it was futile. I dumped the rest of my papers in a snow bank and went home to warm up. My boss only got one complaint that day from someone who did not get a paper. Asshole.

Interesting image from wunderground.com.

BTW---keeping warmer is all about a favorable surface area to body volume ratio. Works against big people when its hot.

No, but the coldest temps/wind chill in 20 years over much of the country certainly is. Maybe you could do a PET of a thermometer.

I've got a metal stamping vendor near the windy city who can't get many employees to come to work, much less truckloads of steel in or out.

Rather than "Snowpocalypse" they're calling it "Chiberia".

Capitalism designed and built that snow plow.

I guess I misunderstood. When you said "Most of us don't have 12 inches of cock pounding them in the ass", I thought you were complaining that you had less than 12 inches of cock pounding you in the ass. My bad.
