The fan is clearly an asshole but Smart crossed the line with his reaction. The fan should be banned from attending any future games and Smart is likely facing a suspension, as he should. Players have to ignore that kind of shit and, if he'd done that, the fan would still be a racist asshole but Smart wouldn't be facing any penalties for his actions.
