Last season saw the top scorers depart for greener pastures, with the hope in the Bball program that someone would mature and step up. Didn't happen. A weak OOC schedule saw the Buckeyes go undefeated and as high as #3 in the polls.

After finishing the regular season fifth in conference (Hell, they lost to PSU TWICE! Thats like losing back to back home football games to NW and IND), the Buckeyes struggled in all their games with getting blown out early before turning up the heat on D. They managed to go three games into the tourney before losing to TSUN.

Conference play exposed the team with only occasional stepup of players scoring, then falling back to their normal scoring averages. Another weakness was inside play on both sides of the ball, but especially on O.

Many of the preseason predictions that I saw had them finish anywhere from third thru seventh in the conference. Easy to say now, but with the issues exposed to the light of day, an early exit shouldn't have been too surprising.

Gotta rack Mercer. They beat FGCU to get to the tournament. Hope they go deeper.

Cuse losing to Dayton OTOH was gut wrenching. Much love to the Flyers though. They deserved that win, even if Syracuse was playing like they were trying to shave points. <Bill Walton>Hooorible execution</Bill Walton>
