That's some pretty sweet Dead gear Sam. I'm sure Dinsdale would approve.

Used to have a t-shirt I got at the New Year's Eve show at the Cow Palace in 1976. Wish I knew where that went.
Another interesting item I have (or had) was my ticket to the last show of the 4 (or 5?) night Winterland run in 1974 when they had announced that they were going to quit touring. Same set of shows that the movie was made from. The ticket had "THE LAST ONE" printed across it in large block letters. Wish I knew where that one went too.

My brother pulled that on me when I took him to a show. NOBODY wanted to talk to us. Never took him again.

I made a three day roadie from La Jolla to the Bay Area in 1974 (second year in college) to see the final three nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) of the Winterland run. About eight of us skipped class on Friday, piled into a van and drove straight up from La Jolla. As I had grown up in the Bay Area I had a fairly large contingent of Deadhead friends still up there and was dropped off by my UCSD friends at my best HS buddy's house in Palo Alto. Went to all three shows with my Bay Area friends and then was picked up after the Sunday night show by my UCSD friends to drive straight back to San Diego.
Being the good engineering major I took a small pile of books with me to get some studying done on Saturday and Sunday between the shows. Needless to say, none of that got done. But I had to take those books with me and leave them in my friend's car during the Sunday night show because I had to hook up with my other friends right after the show to drive back south. I just wish I had a picture of me standing in front of Winterland at 2:00 a.m. with a pile of school books waiting for my ride.
