I've cut my beer consumption back by about 75%. Even then, I mostly just drink boring domestics. I've gone soft...and cheap.

Craft brew is overrated, imo. I mean, I like it, but it's not worth paying significantly more. It's all alcohol at the end of the day. If I'm in the mood for quality, I'll go the import route. The Euros understand subtlety and know how to do it right.

Thanks for your input, Whitey.

Whitey drinks shit beer because he thinks it's good.

I drink shit beer, knowing it's shit beer, because it's just not important to me. Key difference.

But go ahead and keep drinking your Xtreme Quadruple Mega Hopslam! beer if that's what you need to feel sophisticated.

If all beer suddenly disappeared tomorrow, my reaction would be along the lines of, oh well.

Distilled spirits on the other hand...

What this Beast Light guy has been saying for years. Sure, I may order something special eating out, but at home I'm rolling my pennies.

I basically have the same approach. But unlike Mgo, I can't lower myself to drink PBR. My bowels can't take the punishment anymore.

It has nothing to do with sophistication. It has to do with taste. Or in your case, the lack thereof.

That's not the PBR. It's all that black cock.

Could you Madison folk be trying any harder to be Portland?

It's kind of cute.

This based on your vast experience doing brewery tours?

I don't have to tour a brewery to taste their beer.

What do you think the Hair of the Dog products?

Do you like what Laurelhurt Public House makes?

How about Occidental?

Feeling stupid yet?

No. It's much too early in the day for me to be drinking.

You sound a bit upset. It's almost as if you don't like people making blanket statements about their stuff being the best. Funny.

Loading your coffee with cream and sugar gives it more "taste," but that doesn't necessarily make it better.

If I want taste, I'll go to the Germans or Belgians. But I know, those guys have nothing on your hipster brew that's been around for all of a decade. :meds:

Quite the contrary. So you don't know much about coffee, either. Noted.

I've got news for you. If you need to load your coffee up with a bunch of junk in order to drink it... you don't like coffee.

Why you gotta be an ass ? Did I or did I not ask you sincerely about what TV show I should watch? I actually want to find a cheap boring but drinkable domestic.

Oh come now, any punishment PBR might hand out to your bowels is childs play next to what it gets on saturday night from other sources.

Who exactly are you anyway? You join this board out of the blue and you're full of one line retorts? At least copy a few takes from other boards to make it look like you have a fucking clue.

I switched from beer to red wine last year.

I miss the beer, and the wine's more expensive. But I've lost about 25 lb., so it's all good.
