No, you shouldn't. It's none of our business and very much Russia's business. NATO used to be a strictly defensive alliance designed to protect western Europe. It was a stabilizing force in international relations. It has since become an aggressive and expansionist coalition that has made conflict with Russia more likely not less likely. NATO should never have extended into former Warsaw Pact and Soviet republics. That was a shockingly stupid decision made from very short sighted arrogance. We had a brief window of opportunity after the Cold War to start over with the Russians and we blew it.

In any event, I can't help but notice an awful lot of "inactive or otherwise committed" Russian battalions. I'm not really sure what that is supposed to mean. Either they are ready and available or they aren't. If they aren't, then Russia is in no way about to launch a full scale invasion of Ukraine.
