Wait...

May 9th is Sarcasm Day in the U.S.A. right? Like in Canada, right?

Or is it like our Thanksgivings, that fall a month apart?

We get those in the fall fairly regularly here in SoCal. In the spring, once every three or four years it's...

sharks.

I usually try to head up to Victoria during sharknado season.

Instead of sounding like a freight train, does a firenado sound like a fire truck?

Better not fart near one of those.

Huh, sort of looks like Schlomarty swallowing another post from poptart.

Not that I mean anything personal by that...

This one happened yesterday in Fallbrook.
It's like 2007 deja vu all over again.

We noticed the fire in Carlsbad at about 11:00 a.m. a half mile from our office. It looked fucking huge and the lights started to flicker so we closed it up and went home. I fought traffic for an hour to get home only to find fire on two sides of town.

This is the "highway" fire from a hill near our house.

Think Sodom and Gomorrah.

Very early. May is usually overcast and gray most of the time - hence "May gray" morphing into "June gloom" and then on to "October when half the county burns up." The only good thing about this is that maybe all the fuel will be gone before fire season.

I'm watching the Fire Department press conferences, if for no other reason than to see their ASL interpreter. :D

I posted that in another thread while I was having a god damned senior moment.
At least you're still keeping up with your yard.

Best of luck Mikey. Hope your abode is not threatened. 'Holic will blow a gasket if he has to pay for your solar panels again.

Maybe a small pump thrown into your pool would help save the homestead if it gets really bad.

Trev,

I couldn't listen to the video because I am on a plane, but the written story did not use the words illegal or homeless.

The pic might have gotten more traction if it was an Evinrude instead of a wheelbarrow.

I think hell looks like this, friendos.

Which reminds me...

I heard about one Christian group that evangelizes by going up to people, starting a talk with them, and then placing a lighter under their hand -- to tell them, "See, this is what it will feel like forever if you don't do the right thing."

In all his time in Church, I just wonder if Felix had anyone approach him this way.

:)
