If I were to plan a roadie to CB, what would I find there to amuse myself?

Is there a "hipster quarter"? Coffee shops, used record stores, art galleries, coin laundries...etc...

Meth. Then maybe a little more meth. You might be able to find a quaint little getaway where you could by some plastic flamingos for your front yard and do meth and then drive back to town to do some more meth. Oh, don't forget to pack your jorts.

They call it Counciltucky for a good reason.

Use a strong voice and lightly bop him on the snout with the palm of your hand. DO NOT use a rolled up newspaper or such.
If he keeps urinating in the same spot on the carpet, that might be an indication of a urinary tract infection.

Most importantly, you need to play with him and provide plenty of exercise.

How is downtown Bugaha coming? I was in Omaha for work in 2007 and spent a few days downtown. Ate dinner a Mexican joint, thought it was good.

Bugaha reminds me of a big GR.

I can't say what it was but it is coming along nicely. There's new construction all over the place especially midtown, downtown and in west Omaha. It's definitely a city growing up fast.

I would have to say...no. Canadians would most likely be cautiously welcomed as long as you don't seem to "foreignish."

Nice to see a town that started in the 1850's is finally growing up. What took you stupid fucks so long?

I could say the same about Austin. I was there when it boomed in the early 90s. There is a similar vibe in Omaha now.

The fuck? Is there a back-story on this shit-pile mvscal? Hell, you'd think the bridge would look like this after it had been demolished. Did a flight of reconnaissance jets crash simultaneously into the bridge's four towers on their way back to Offutt? I suppose if the tweakers are as bad as you say, that salvage yard the Bluffs have confused for "art" isn't long for that bridge anyway. Not a good look on your eastern gateway, mvscal.

Yeah. "What the fucking fuck is that?" was my first reaction. I guess it's a Council-tucky thing. I have no earthly idea what the hell it's supposed to be.

You should ask Mace.

EDIT Google reveals:
It's called Odyssey, created by the internationally acclaimed sculptor Albert Paley, and its four spiky metal forms rise 100 feet above one of the country's busiest highways. Work crews started installing the sculptures on each corner of the South 24th Street overpass Aug. 5 and plan to finish this week. When they do, the $3 million monument will become a landmark for the 85,000 cars and trucks that pass daily along that stretch of Interstate 80/29, a link to , Kansas City and Des Moines.

"The four sculptures are seen as the gateway of Iowa," Paley said on the phone from his studio in Rochester. "The whole thing is about an act of passage, of creating a sense of place and an identity. When you're driving, especially on the interstate, it becomes fairly monotonous, but the magnitude of these sculptures really defines Council Bluffs' image."

LOL, that one is relatively new. I'll have to read it.

Sam, you would probably like the metro DC area. Lots of attractive single women desperate to get married. You could find your fourth or fifth wife here.

There's a casino with a greyhound dog track in CB... or maybe I should mention the dog track first since it was there way before they attached the casino to it. I don't think Nebraska has legalized casino gambling yet so at least Iowa has that going for it.

When I was stationed at Offutt I used to hit the bars in Council Bluffs. It's where the Omaha skanks tried to score an Air Force boy and were quite successful with this one. That, and the drinking age In Iowa was 18 while it was 21 in Nebraska.

Good times.

I spent a week working in Iowa back in the early 90s. I expected it to be a complete snoozefest, but, I have to say that it was the strip club Mecca. Is this still the case?
