UCLAme should be barred from the Top 25 as long as they continue to wear those horrendous black jerseys. Disgusting.

Johnny Manziel
Aaron Murray
AJ McCarron
Connor Shaw
James Franklin
Zach Mettenberger

These are the QBs the SEC lost to graduation and/or the pros. Might be a couple others, but these are the notable names. That is an awful lot to replace at the most important position for one conference in one season. There will be some ugly 14-10 type games, but they'll just call it "rugged defense" and thus keep the hype machine rolling.

Spray, I don't have a huge gripe with UGA because they had a ton of injuries last year, although 10 wins is pretty much Richt's ceiling regardless of talent level. I have a bigger issue with A&M. They lose Manziel, Evans, and their stud left tackle, off a team that couldn't play a lick of defense. Good luck with that. And I guess I'm in the minority but I'm not impressed by Kevin Sumlin.

Ole Miss is good for a Top 20 about every seven years.

Bo Wallace is supposed to be a good QB.

Season or not, I won't be as regular as in the past . Kind of like last season.

jury is out on Sumlin imo. he never the called the plays at OU as the CO-OC as they say on TV. That was Kevin Wilson, and they had Sam Bradford. He won at Houston with Art Briles guys. despite being one of the weirdest hires ever, Mike Sherman recruited well to ATM. then again, ATM has been doing less with top 15 type classes for a long time. so, yeah, not sure what to make of Sumlin. he's cashing some big checks these days.

I am in the same camp, jury is out but not all that impressed to date.

To add to the above, he didn't call plays at UH that often either, Kingsburry did. His recruiting at UH was suspect. Any of us could recruit to ATM and the SEC, so big deal on his last two classes. The next two seasons will tell us a good deal about him.

I don't think Sumlin has ever been the play caller at any position he has ever had but that doesn't mean he isn't a good field manager.

I think Mike Stoops is the better actual coach than Bob but Bob is better at managing an entire staff as well as calling plays.

never cared for pre season polls when we are overrated, not going to get twisted now that we're underrated. win games and get ranked. nothing to see here.

Alabama's going to drop like an SEC linebacker in the Sugar Bowl.

Kinda doubt it.

But UDub should get kicked from that lofty 25 spot. Took a bunch of luck to beat Hawaii by 1. Outplayed in about every offensive category except the one that matters.

Oregon should be #1 in the country in my book.

I'll save making that judgment for about 5 days.

If the defense doesn't tighten up this week (which it likely will, since almost every other team I saw was shaky on D, and there's plenty of talent), there won't be a #1 next to Oregon's name at any point.
