Re: hype videos
Every team has them now? Haven't most had them for over a decade now?

Oregon now sends out...
no, I'm not making this up, as badly as I wish I was...
Scratch-n-Sniff tickets.
No, seriously.

What does the ticket for the game against the Oregon State Beavers smell like?

Who doesn't want their ticket to smell like a combo meal from Carl's Jr?Dinsdale wrote:Oregon now sends out...

Re: hype videos
I don't give a single rats ass about a RICE hype video, nor will I spend a second looking for or watching it.
On the ticket front, there is an interesting new development. The Minnesota Wild are rolling out a credit card looking "season ticket." I understand Texas, Florida and Wyoming are using a trial version this season as well. Instead of sending out an individual ticket for each game the purchaser gets a "credit card" with all the ticket info stored on it. This is then swiped or scanned for entry to each game. The card also stores other info such as hospitality access and parking and can be loaded with money for in stadium purchases.
In the event the purchaser can't attend a game, they can request a printed ticket which will be shipped to them or the recipient of their choice. There is also a kiosk at the stadium that will print a ticket on game days so they can sell or give it away once they arrive.
In the case of corporate tickets or for someone who wants printed tickets this can be selected at purchase.
I would be completely in favor of this. Put the card in my wallet and basically forget it.

Paper tickets will go the way of the dodo bird soon enough, which is a shame for people like me who like to collect them scrapbook style. Will be a cool book of nostalgia to look back on when I'm Goober's age.

Totally agree. I actually just went through my box of stubs the other day. About a handful of concerts that I forgot I attended, including Queens of the Stone Age at the Orbit Room. I still have the first concert I ever attended sans parents (Aerosmith) plus first concert I ever attended period (Yes).MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Paper tickets will go the way of the dodo bird soon enough, which is a shame for people like me who like to collect them scrapbook style. I only have a few ticket stubs, most from things I went to with my dad. I get why this might annoy you though.

I went to a EPL game last year in Manchester and in Bolton. Both stadiums used a "credit card" for season ticket holders to enter the stadium. It was pretty sweet and I cannot understand why it hasn't been adopted here.Left Seater wrote:I don't give a single rats ass about a RICE hype video, nor will I spend a second looking for or watching it.
