Got 2 for UM/App St

I refuse to go to that abortion of a game. Giving my tix away.8/30, T1B gets first crack. I know there are many App St fans on this board. I seem to remember how happy they made you all last time they came to AA.

Who's in?

P.S. Giving away tix vs Minnie and looking to sell PSU tix (I have a fucking wedding in FL, only game on the home slate worth a fuck. Fuck Brandon)

Down here, anyone stupid enough to get married during football season should expect an empty church. We don't put up with that shit.

Never understood a guy agreeing to a Fall wedding. Just the woman suggesting such should send up all kinds of red flags:

First and most obvious is that she doesn't give a rip about college football.

Second, her Dad must have agreed to the date and therefore he doesn't give a rip about football.

Third, she hangs with a group of girls who don't give a rip about football.

I never expected you to admit to your own shortcomings (and they are myriad). It's not a bikini wax, you insufferable douchenozzle. It's a Brazillian.

I don't think any of those things are red flags. Unless you're one of those schmucks that has to do everything with your lady. The red flag is her attempt at establishing control by wanting to take away something from you she knows you and your friends enjoy.

My girl doesn't need to give a rip about football, but she needs to respect the fact that I do.

Hey, at least we're not talking white flags for a change.

I love how you douches talk shit. Almost none of you go to your teams games. I can give away three of this years games and still go to more games than most of you shmucks combined.

There is this thing called a plane, turns out you can buy a ticket to ride on one.

I am lucky to make two Rice games a year with the officiating hobby. Still purchase the season ticket each year though. If your Minny tickets haven't been claimed in a few weeks I may snag them. I have a game myself in that area that is a noon start, so will need to see when that Minny game starts.

In-laws have a number of season tickets to Badger games, so I get to games when I feel like it. Mother-in-law has longtime pair of season tickets and is offered the chance to buy single game tickets. I had her get me four for Nebraska (the only decent home game this season). Wound up at midfield, but in row 9. Might be a bit low.

I refuse to buy season tickets myself if they are going to continue to schedule shit games at home. As long as I can pick and choose what games I go to, I’m good.

The at home watching experience far out weighs the in person experience, and that is only going to get worse as TV's get better and AD's get even more money hungry.

Lighten up, Francis.

If you didn't peg this place for a bunch of season ticket holders, then I don't know why you'd expect people to snatch up tickets to a team they don't care about.

Also, going to a game is an all day event. I'm a huge cfb fan in general and like to watch the games before and after my team plays.

I'm going to the game @ Maryland, and possibly one of either @ Indiana or @ Purdue.

I dunno, Dave Brandon really set the stage for an epic tilt in 9 days in Ann Arbor. I mean, for the chance to even up the all-time series against mighty Appalachian State...that's what college football is all about.

Jeebus, you are in rare from today. You might want to check yourself before calling out anyone else on reading comp. I know you attended a game, but you wanted some sort of extra credit for it because you were a 10 hour drive away. I just pointed out that there are these things called airplanes that can cut that by 60%.

As much as I'd like to attend more games, I'm a jizz-mopper. Not a trust fund baby.

Your attempts at smack would pack more of a punch if you worked in a few facts.

You are the one who chose you profession, don't hate others for your choices.

Not really. Being at a game is fun, no doubt. That atmosphere and electricity you can feel in the crowd during a game is second to none.

However, there are many things the home viewing experience offers that I cannot get in stadium:

-Beer
-No lines at the pisser
-I don't have to wait until halftime to take a piss
-I always have great seats
-I can pause the game
-I can eat whatever I want, when I want.
-I get the ability to watch replays
-If the game sucks, I can flip it and watch another game
-It doesn't take me 3+ hours to get to my TV
-No traffic
-Doesn't cost me over $200 to watch a game on my TV

In a few years when my kids want to go to a game, it will likely cost me over $1000 for the experience. No thanks.

Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with you on the expense -- factor in parking, and all the other associated costs, and it isn't hard to drop multiple benjies in a day.

I really wanted to see Sparty this year, but since I didn't jump on the Scratch-n-Sniffs early, they've gotten a bit steep for my tastes (and my friend, who is old friends with Mariota's parents (from the same town), probably can't hook me up, since it's his weekend for the Hawaii crew to come visit... even though I think I'm taking some of the bastards crabbing).

And on Game Day, it will take me at least 2 hours to get there (usually 1.5), unless the Sheepfuckers have a home game, then it will be 3+ hours (that's leaving at 7AM).

I drink enough beer before the game, a 3 hours break is actually beneficial.

I eat so much at the tailgate, I probably couldn't chow a hot dog if I wanted to.

The lines at the pisser are indeed brutal.

Seats are generally a function of budget (Sin, MA). But I like them all.

There's a bunch of huge TVs in Autzen (which I don't believe is anywhere near unique), and they show plenty of replays (although the Blur Offense doesn't lend itself well to watching replays, but that's the same on TV).

Only live games I've ever seen (suck) are ones we lost (last one I saw was the freaking Smurfs).

That said, I'll be lucky to make a game this year.

Quit arguing semantics, hefty. We're not arguing whether you're 10 or 20 pounds overweight. I attend games when I can. I'm not flying home just to see a Kzoo Tech game. If I lived closer to campus, sure. But I don't.

Fuck off, already. Don't you have any minority children to discriminate against for not winning the genetic lottery?

The big reason the home schedule sucks is the Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State games are all on the road. Next year is a lot better...Oregon State, BYU, Northwestern, Michigan State and Ohio State.

It goes without saying that watching from home is the painless (and cheap) way to go.

I've gotten to use my boss' State tickets in recent years...with parking pass. I'm 30 minutes from East Lansing...probably an hour plus to Ann Arbor. The driving has never been a problem and I can get there early enough if I wanted to do a tailgate. Ann Arbor is more of a cluster fuck with parking. I went to a few games when my sister was a student. I'd park at their house/apartment and walk across town to the stadium.

You go for the day long experience...you don't expect to just catch the game and get out right away. After the State games, you can walk across campus and grab some food and drinks at a bar and let the crowd thin out and traffic is back to normal after a few hours. If you go to a noon kick...I don't expect to be home any earlier than 7 p.m.

When you lost to App State in 2007, they finished 13-2. Last year they finished 4-8.

Last year Miami (OH) won as many games as shutyomouth had good takes - zero.

Utah is a PAC team. With a losing record.

That's why your schedule sucks. Not that Wisky's doesn't, as well.

I'm pretty sure I've made it to at least one live game every year since I graduated and left Boulder in 2000. I go back for Thanksgiving every year, so I always hit the season finale when it's in Boulder. Now that we're in the PAC, it's easy to see at least one live game. Tucson is less than a two-hour drive, and Sun Devil Stadium is barely three miles from my front door.
