Home Surveillance System

There's been some recent burglaries in the neighborhood, so I installed a new surveillance system. Mrs. Rumps wasn't satisfied enough with the alarm system (monitored), the two 9mms sitting at our bedside, the Mossberg 500 12ga mounted under the bed, and our two pitbulls, so the cameras are up.
720p w/ night vision, motion triggered, w/ notification sent to my phone anytime recording starts.

This isn't a Chamber of Commerce commercial for Houston, is it?

Coogs's, you need bars on the windows and possibly a moat. With alligators.

So, you'll get to watch when somebody steals your stuff. Props to you, I guess.
A lock only keeps an honest man honest. If somebody wants in bad enough, they'll get in.
In 28 years of living in my shit hole, not once has anybody taken a thing from me that I didn't want taken.

Yeah, that'd be the work of a moron not buying a third-party software to go with the surveillance system. See, Scott, there is this thing called trial and error and also testing. That's when you spend the time testing each camera's sensitivity, motion triggering, time delays, and adjusting the settings so that kind of shit doesn't happen.
The system is honed in and not one fly, set of headlights, or dogs have given any false alarms. I did the research, cupcake. Works like a champ.

Oh, hell no. But I like guns and for my house to be secure and safe. That doesn't make me a prepper; just a Texan.

PSST! Hey Rumps...

Even I knew that, and I'm a shitty spreadsheeter.

The guns part yes, the completely over the top security system, no.
Most of the rest of us Texans would use the gun to keep the house secure and safe.

Texans are so funny.
Just when they can't get any more silly, they (at least one, anyway) decide that gun ownership and being secure in one's home are uniquely "Texan" attributes.
This is why the rest of us laugh at you.

No night vision, Goobs? IR capability? Or preferably, thermal? I sense an upgrade in your near future.

Rumps, the pic you posted says it is 2:32 PM and it's only 80 degrees.
