Paul McCartney Tour

Anyone been? I'm going on Sunday to see Sir Paul. He's as old as dirt now, so I'm nervous that the show will be downright bad. I've seen the setlist and it looks really long with 2 encores. I probably would not pay to see him, tickets are about $100 bucks, but we are being treated by someone to go. So, why not? I've been a Beatle's fan since I was a kid and have a bunch of their albums and saw Beatlemania as a teen.

You should totally go...you know...get out, meet people...
Why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday

He was here a few weeks ago. All reports indicate he was on his game.
Of course you go. Besides being a living legend, he's British Royalty.
God Save The Queen!

Trev, Smackie and I saw him last year, front row, for my birthday. I am not his biggest fan, but it was a great concert and I don't think you would be at all disappointed. Have fun!

I have the tickets and I'm getting excited. We are in a premiere club suite. Should be FUN. They also gave us a $30 parking pass for the stadium.

Not exactly. He's been honoured by the queen with a kt and an mbe. He's isn't even a Peer. The House of Lords would boot his ass out the door.

As long as Ringo doesn't show up on his coattails and try to join in, it should be great.
Not many more chances to see a live Beatle and not many people can say they have.
Enjoy!

Dude wishes he was 64 now. How is his voice these days? I remember a recording of him from a long fukking time ago and he sounded like ass.

He took the stage at 8:30 and played until a little after 11:00 PM. Wow! He was having fun, as was 50,000 people in the stadium. The entire place seemed to singing along and everyone in our suite was singing and dancing to the tunes. Everyone had a blast. Our suite had food and drinks provided and our own nice bathroom. What a treat it was!
Paul's voice sounded a little better than I thought it would live. He looked as cute as ever for 72. My favorite part of the show was Live and Let Die, it was fantastically done with fireworks in the background. I might post a video later.

He couldn't have possibly been using a backing track to sing to.

A backing track? Are you saying he was lip synching?

You can sing over a backing track. It helps people who have spent their whole lives smoking weed and cigs get over when they try out their tattered voices at age 72.

For an old dude, he did a great job. It was his voice. I really don't get what you are saying.

That's OK, I'm sure he sounded just like he did on the Wings Over America album. No deterioration whatsoever. And Linda was an amazing singer.

He didn't sound like he did 30 years ago. He can still carry a tune though. I mean, he is gifted that way.

Is he still ripping off The Dave Clark Five?
