Climate scientists are not hookers or they would be working for an industry that makes billions. How come the oil companies have hoards of attorneys fighting for them but almost no scientists? Because attorneys actually are hookers.

Oil companies actually have a huge amount of scientists working for them, they are called geologists.

Further the majority of attorneys working for oil companies are involved in property rights. Negotiating and writing agreements with land owners and mineral rights holders for access. The next largest group is involved in making sure they don't violate EPA and state agency laws that are often in conflict with themselves or each other.

I work for a major oil company. They pay me a lot of money for what I do and they match my 401k at an 8%clip along with giving me a pension. My job is directly involved with one of six flares at our facility. We rarely use it and when we do, it burns very clean. It's amazing how far we've come in the industry when recovering these off-gases and reproducing them. Emission permits keep decreasing every year for every facility, so they adapt and engineer and build derivative units that prevent flare emissions on a regular basis.

I believe in the long term, C02 emissions will be greatly reduced as scientists and engineers continue to figure out how to capture and reproduce everything that was once burned to the atmosphere. And if the earth continues to warm? Wacky environmental scientists will have to blame someone else.

Don't get me wrong -- humans have undoubtedly changed the carbon cycle. Removing hydrocarbons from the crust and putting them into the atmosphere is obviously going to have an effect on something.

CO2 can readily be proven to absorb solar radiation(in the infrared range). That science is indeed "settled" (for at least 80+ years).

BUT... the amount of radiation that CO2 can absorb and emit (provable, repeatable), and what the Cult claims, just don't add up.

Junk science, and decades from being understood in any meaningful way.

So to a person who can separate science from politics, the jury is still way out on this one. What I am fairly confident in, is that the Cultists are full of hot air.
