Have no issue with that anymore than a good Roman Catholic making a sign of the cross, or anyone looking upward and thanking their God. Now if he stayed there for say 5 minutes shouting out praise to Allah, it might be noteworthy.

I remember Rshaan Salaam's first NFL TD. Handed the ball to the official without any fanfare, and jogged to the sideline. The equipment guy got the ball for him, and tried to give it to him.

Salaam (refusing ball): I've scored touchdowns before.

And he walks back to his teammates.


That's how it's done.

Salaam didn't score too many more tuddies, and went on to become a Heisman bust, but I'll always admire him for that.
