I can't quite hit Portland with a rock from my house, unless I really heave one. Mississippi Studios is in North Portland (which is part of Portland), and I'm on the south end, so it isn't good bicycle distance.

Eugene is about 1.5 hours or so south.

Like every other rock kid in the 80s. Like most 80s bands, by the time they broke big they turned into total freaking sellouts and tried to lecture everybody else about how to save the world.
