The CDC is getting killed in local media here, am currently in Dallas.

A $6 Billion plus budget and they can't respond adequately to a severe event? Staff at the hospital where the first patient was treated report CDC guidance changed by the hour based on who from the CDC was on site. Nurses would be briefed on the protective gear and removal sequence and then when it came time to remove the gear the protocol had changed, yet no one told the nurse.

Time for the CDC to step up and do their job, correctly.

When you hear of folks "preparing for the zombie apocalypse", that's generally understood to be short-hand for "race war".

Been in Dallas since Monday. Supposed to fly out tomorrow afternoon but I'm trying to figure out if there's a better way out of here than through DFW. Maybe I should rent a car and drive to Amarillo and then take Southwest to San Diego through Las Vegas. I'm pretty sure somebody has planted ebola bombs at DFW, and the wife is thinking about not letting me back in the house.

This shit is getting serious.

It's funny you bring this up because the wife and I were discussing this on our way down from Dallas to Austin. I mentioned that the series of missteps by the Feds so closely mimics any number of zombie story lines that I was surprised it hadn't gone mainstream already. You'd think that either Law and Order: CDC, Survivor: Dallas, or CSI: Walla Walla, Washington would have already run an episode on this theme, but no, it takes T1B to take the lead on this. Know any Hollywood screenwriters to pitch this to?

I don't think they start for another week or so.

Nonstops maybe, but you can connect in ABQ or ELP or PHX which you couldn't do until Monday.
