I'll just be glad when the political muckraking is over. I live in KCMO but have to watch and hear about the Kansas senate and governor candidates because 25% of the registered voters in Kansas live in Johnson County, a suburb of KC.

It's been a constant barrage of attack ads the past few months, weeks, days, and it's beyond old.

Our gubernatorial race features a whackjob Mormon against the D ("D" is for "Duh" in Oregon) incumbent, who is a proven crook -- led the national laughingstock healthcare website (over $300 mil down the hole, never worked, they scrapped it), tried to enrich his cronies by building a new bridge to Washington (actually replacing the old one) to the tune of over $200 mil... just for the studies... the "consultants" were living like rock stars, and $20 mil isn't even accounted for, just missing from the books, and the bridge project is scrapped... his girlfriend, who calls herself the "first lady" gets "clean energy" consulting gigs (got one where she was the highest bid), and when the Ethics Committee told her to knock off with clearly criminal activities, the guv had the ethics committee... and I'm not making this up... he had them rewrite the ethics rules. She conducts her private business as a lobbyist out of the governor's office... which he won't release any documents in regards to (he's made it very clear that neither state nor federal laws apply to him)...

and that's who the idiots here are going to vote for, even though the feds are conducting a criminal investigation into him and his.

Ain't one party rule grand?

I guess it's never going to get any better. We have n election for "Guv" here. Scott has done a good job and deserves reelection, but the Dems dredged up Charlie Crist and backing him with tons of $$ and TV ads making it a race. MrsO and I voted a long time ago by mail in ballot, but I still get robo calls exhorting me to get out and vote. Commercial TV time is a vast wasteland of attack ads. Enough already Anyone who has not made up their mind a long time ago shouldn't be voting at all. I dread 2016.

What election ?

The sooner you realize that it doesn't matter, the better off all of you will be.

The San Francisco Bay Area... run's politics in this country and that won't change for a long, long, time.

San Francisco and the Bay Area lives in a "bubble" and has more money than God.

It's completely unconcerned about the welfare of other parts of the country.

Unfortunately, that's "the truth".

I laughed when the Dems here trotted out Billy Boy himself to push the vote for Crist. Pathetic, but sadly may work. talk to you all later tonight.

This country's political system is too much like the BCS in that it's almost always between two candidates and those two candidates are rarely the best suited for the job.

That's kind of weird. Lumping three separate metro areas into one.

SF is definitely riding San Jose's coattails on income, but I'm pretty sure including Oakland evens it out.

No, myself and damn near everyone else there already had it out and ready to hand to the election worker to scan.

A complete and total non issue.

Maybe in Ohio, but certainly not here. I used mine today as well.

I also like to use it at TSA checkpoints if I have time to spare. Since i have pre check and global entry I don't have to take my shoes or belt off, nor do I have to take my liquids or computer out. Talk about making rent a cops squirm.

Is there a reason... Porky hasn't been banned for 3 posts in a row with homosexual videos ???

As I recall, this was cause for a permanent ban.

Or does Mr. Magoo and "the deciders" condone this kind of behaviour ?

If you do... please put up a warning for those that don't.

Thanks.

Nah... just not into "beastialty" like you and your "ex-wife".

Maybe, your wife needed another "horse" in the sack/barn... and she ended up with a bigot and started banging her trainer due to your lack of manhood.

I'll never understand any of the arguments against requiring an ID to vote. Baffling.
I figured you were a little sharper than that, Sam.

It is real simple. Having to show an ID makes fraud a little tricky. And the dems have shown that while corrupt, they are not particularly competent and more than a bit lazy. Old timey dems would just work on their fake ID production.

It's over and we get a bit of a rest from all the politicking for now. Scott stays as "Guv", and I wonder if Charlie Crist will end up back on the Morgan & Morgan payroll. Medical pot did not garner the 60% vote needed to pass as an amendment. I can wait for 2016.
