It's time for Cal to bring in their best QB.
Rubenzer.
I've never been a fan of Goff.

I think Cal was better off with Tedford.

They actually might have been. In his stint, he managed to throw together a couple of very successful seasons at a time when the university gave football no major support. Now that the TV money is rolling in, most of the PAC schools are falling back in love with football (the ones that weren't on board the whole time, anyway). Some schools, like say CU, Utah, and Wazzu, are spending that money like drunken sailors before they actually have it in hand.
With actual resources, Tedford might have made a go of it.
If things don't turn around fairly quickly, I see a coaching change in their not-too-distant future, if not a new AD.
Kal is a school that with the right people in place, could actually compete in the PAC12 North. Stanford was good for a couple of years, Shaw did well... with Harbaugh's guys. Don't know what happened to UDub, maybe Petersen will turn them around (people have been saying "they'll be back" for the last 4 coaches, hasn't happened yet... and I enjoy watching them suffer). Wazzu and Oregon State will never amount to shit, because the world has changed, what with the internets, and coaches can't sugar-coat the small-time, hodunk towns they're asking kids to move to.

Yeah, it's not like there's 350,000 in the Eugene area, or anything.
And it's not like it's an outdoorsman's paradise, or anything.

Ummm... Cal hasn't had a permanent AD for close to a year.
Sorry you had to find out this way.
Cal's last AD is now... Penn State's AD.
Just trying to help you out.

Funny you mention that... DAT was a diehard fisherman in his time in Eugene. And since there's trout/steelhead fishing right on campus, he could be found at Alton-Baker on a very regular basis.
Can you go big-game fishing on the USC campus?

Steelhead also go by the name "the world's most prized gamefish"... dumbass.
So, USC boosters pay for charter trips? I guess some things never change.
