My point, if you are still wondering, is that unarmed does not mean harmless. Not by a long stretch.

My wife is 5'3" and all of 120 lbs. she would be rag dolled by someone of MB size. The gun she has a permit for and carries most places is the ultimate equalizer.

Just trying to point out how ridiculous smack's statement was. The UNARMED killer was outweighed by the killee by 150 lb or so.

My point is that saying a cop can not use deadly force because someone is "unarmed" is bullshit. The cop has a weapon for a reason. He is in a position where from time to time, he is going to have to take someone into custody. Occassionally the person being taken into custody may decide, fukk you, you ain't doing that. In cases where there is a gaggle of cops, they wrassle him. In cases where the cop is alone and he feels that a wrassling match will not go well for him, he has the gun.
