A couple of years ago a person in charge of a very large entity said this, “We can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices.”
I'll give you a hint. He golfs a lot.

I'm pretty sure it is because of all the windmills we built.

We aren't drilling our way to lower gas prices. The Saudis are.

Sometimes I find it absurd you used to actually teach the youth of America. No wonder we're the colostomy bag we've turned into.

Like it's any better that a bunch of high school students graduated thinking the world was formed by a mythical being instead of through the science that was....

I never got the impression, irl or on the board, that he's overly dogmatic. Don't think he was teaching Creationism.

From feedback of former students of my 32 years in public education I would say I have had a positive impact on their lives. Many have gone out of their way to tell me. I would hope that all of the folks here can say that when their time on earth is near its end. One of my most fun jobs however was working in entomology research. Here is a citation I got in one study.

Obama's head must be close to exploding. Remember his first Czar of All Things Climatey, Steven Chu, Sec'y of Energy? Do you recall how he wanted gas prices to reflect Europe's pricing model so as to better keep those gas guzzling 'Mericans from driving our evil four wheeled demons around? For Obama to see gas drop to a buck and half from his desired $7.00 a gallon undoubtedly keeps him awake at night in quivering fear for the state of our world's carbon buildup. Poor guy can't catch a break! He's done everything from killing cheap energy here in the States to causing ME unrest to keep gas prices high and nothing seems to work.

The "invasion" of the beetle happened because the ChiComs were using untreated pallets and crates that had the larvae in the wood. The first known outbreak was near Chicago. We started with beetles from there and after a lot of dead ends found a way to raise them for study. Controls using fungus were tested.I never had to go to China to do my work. Funny aside: I used to joke that Cornell was the University of Shanghai- NY. Old photo of me in the rearing chamber of the underground quarantine facility. Each jar has a sugar maple log for oviposition, twigs for food and a mate pair of beetles. I changed them once a week, the logs were stored for a few weeks, larvae extracted and put into artificial diet until an adult emerged. I was able to raise a lot for research. Was actually a very enjoyable job for me.

Yeah, the Saudis are doing their best to put all those pesky American/Canuck dudes out of bidness who can't make a buck at 50 bucks a barrel.
I suspect we'll be back to 3.50/gal. before long. Till then, I will enjoy cheap gas.
As for Barry wanting it to go to 7 bucks, yeah, hee prolly does, but, he sure as hell will take credit for the economic upturn that comes with cheap gas.

Do you get paid per comma? Your writing skills are right up there with your landscaping skills.
