Yeah, let's not do anything that would help hold college costs down and make a university degree more attainable for everyone. If minority leaders really cared about minorities they would support this proposal with everything they had.

I can read. If it were the case that professors were overworked now, you might have a valid point. But, on average, they only spend about 350 to 450 hours in the classroom per year. If they taught another class, it isn't like they would be turned into sleepless zombies.

How so? The cost of an education is based, in part, on the salaries of the individuals who provide the educational services to the students. If the students have to pay fewer salaries to obtain their education, how is that not a good deal for students?

I am neither, but I do know the demands on professors. And I know that if professors were in a market economy, we wouldn't be having this discussion, because we would know their worth. But they have no interest in that.
