The lowest it got last week was -10 which only tied the record low for the week. Why you have to alter the data?

But it was only -10 why you have to minus 17 more degrees? Alter data much?

Not really surprised how much space there is up here in your head. I'll try and keep it down when you are in the library or watching those T-Hanks movies.

Dropped below 60 here last week, for about 5 minutes, brrrr.

Out west it has been warmer than normal, I only needed to put the heat on for about 3 weeks in December, that's much shorter than normal considering my place doesn't have much more insulation than a tent.

February, so far is the coldest month ever recorded in the U&R. That is coldest month, not day.

Sure the fukk do wish there was something to AGW.

The same thing happens at -40 Fahrenheit wind chill. 8-)

Of course my point is that when you state the temperature, the air temperature is the proper way to express that value. Wind chill is for people who like to pump up the numbers.

Trees explode.

The ground rumbles like there's an earthquake with "frost quakes".

Anyone who spends any amount of time outside needs to know the wind chill, you fucking idiot.

I'm with Bri on this one. How can you measure "feels like" when it comes to temperature. There are biological differences in blood flow between men and women, and larger folks have a more favorable body volume/surface area ratio in the cold. Coldest air temperature I ever experienced was -45ºF in Maine when I was in college. I just call that fucking cold.

My navel orange tree started blooming last weekend, and I got the last five or six oranges.

One of my two Meyer lemons is still half full of fruit and not blooming yet. The other is in full bloom.

No you don't. Simple common sense tells you that when it is cold and windy that you should limit skin exposure and time outdoors to a minimum.

anyway the wind blows doesn't really matter, to me

easily one of the top 5 best songs of all time, not even debatable.

There are easily 5 Queen songs better than Bohemian Rhapsody. I appreciate the effort and skill that went into the mult-tracking and overdubs, but for my money I prefer it when they just rock out.

And the degree of covering you require is discovered by knowing what the temperature and wind chill are. Imagine leaving home in the sweatpants without the drawstring as opposed to with.

The wind is what turns it from uncomfortable to downright brutal. I'd take 0 degrees with a still air over 15 and windy any day.

Been freakishly warm here for the last couple of months.

I don't think it's dipped below freezing at my house in many weeks.

Apple trees have been in bloom for a couple of weeks, plenty of flowers around.
