I can't watch the vid at work. What did they simulate the attack with? Exocet missile? Zodiac boats? Derka derka dolphins?

Small boats against a motionless mock up sitting all by itself. Not a very impressive display of firepower.

I hope an attack like that on a US carrier doesn't come to fruition... just think of all the grenades the Phalanx will waste shooting down the missiles, 97% of which are nowhere near the target.

Hell, a Phalanx and a .50 cal would repel that attack pretty quickly. 2 .50 cals would make it a bloodbath.

Our battery had 3 platoons of Vulcans back in the day. Night fires were a pretty impressive show. It was a shit air defense system, though. In Desert Storm we just used them to hose down bunkers with HEI. That was some shit to see.

One of my best buddies was a Navy guy back in the 80's on a frigate. They often were in support of carriers, and were also armed with the CIWS.

Even then, he said it was a pretty amazing display. In the 25 years since then, I doubt the technology has gotten any worse.

But what if they get some NUCLEAR speed boats?

This story, more likely from a Jew in the State Department, it's just silly. They're desperate to scuttle talks and it's a critical time.

Chainsaw is a pretty good description of what it sounds like. Of course, you'll never see a carrier CIWS light up one of their fast attack boston whalers as it would be blown out of the water long before it came within range.

Well, they must have done a great job against the carrier battle group consisting of 2 attack subs, Cruisers, Frigates, Destroyers, Air Wing etc. that are part of the battle group. Props to them. I just hope they form a muzzie navy.

The Navy should send a single frigate over there for a little persian gulf call-out.
