Why would they use anti-aircraft guns? Are they somehow catapulting the targets into the air so the operators can practice shooting at moving targets?



Seems like if they were on the ground they'd want to practice with more conventional artillery.

I believe they have already done mortars. You have to mix it up to keep it interesting. I guess they'll squish them with tanks next time.

Mmmm, the ZPU-4. There's a weapon system to warm my cold dark heart. A bit of nasty business if you're facing one within 500 meters, but beyond that range the gunner better practice a lot if he's gonna hit you. Hit 'em with a TOW or Hellfire at max stand-off range and watch the rounds cook off.
