Guitar/Band question

I know a lot of you can really play(sup Spray), but in history, if you had a band and wanted the best to be IN the band, not the front, who would you choose?

Robbie Krieger?
Brian May?
Phil Keaggy?
Randy Rhoads?
Angus Young?
Jeff Beck?
David Gilmour?
Alex Lifeson?

Remember, just part of the band, not the front man.

My vote: Randy
Have no idea why

You have no idea why? Then why start this thread? The usual bored, board suspects will chime in with video links and try to convince you their favorites are the best. Van had a passion to convince everyone Steve Vai was all that.

Why do we do anything? Why did you take a pic of yourself in panties and post them?

It was just a question, dude. Chill.

Btw, you can rip it pretty well yourself, as I recall.

I suggest smoking lots of weed.

Edit: And Van can eat my doo-doo. I never liked him. Pretentious prick he is. I hate people pretending they are smarter than they actually are.

So, you go with panty "smack" then try to kiss my ass with the fact that I can play guitar well?

It depends on what style you're going with. But for my money the clear MVP in that he elevated the band when he was in it and they went downhill when he left is Mick Taylor.

Ren Fairy, in today's politically correct climate, you have committed the unforgivable sin: Slut shaming a tranny. These precious snowflakes are to be treasured and celebrated, not told that they are an embarrassment to the state of California, the one location where they are loved, cultivated, and encouraged. You're probably racist too.

Years of chron smoking combined with pill popping will affect the brain's ability to get very far in the thought process.

You know your thread sucks when AP is acting as the voice of reason.

Jesus, AP, why all the anger? Don't be spreading your anger all over this board just because you have a small penis.

Meat/Potatoes question...

I know a lot of you can really eat (sup Spray), but in history, if you had a meal and wanted the best to be IN the meal, not the main entree, what would you choose?

Mushrooms?
Asparagus?
Rice?
Broccoli?
Slaw?
Mac N Cheese?
Beans?
Salad?

Remember, just part of the meal, not the featured item.

My vote: Broccoli
Have no idea why

I'd take Phil Keaggy, despite his Christer devotion. In fact, that would suggest he's be on time and clear headed for gigs. He's versatile and has the least ego of this curiously imbalanced list.

Johnny Depp
Leo DiCaprio

I don't consider myself a "racist", so to speak.

Being that we are one of the most highly educated populaces of any Metropolitan region in the world... we (San Francisco) do like to limit the number of blacks we allow into our region. Only "San Jose" a member of our region as well, has less... at 3%. We like to keep our group at around 5%.

This makes for a much more enjoyable experience for both the residents and the tourists that flock to the most beautiful city in the world. We could probably amp up our black population to around 7% or so, but who really wants to take the chance of being robbed or having our home prices being reduced ???

It's not a chance we our willing to take at this time of utter prosperity. Sure, if at some point we can't find Mexicans to work at the San Francisco Zoo... we may need to reevaluate our stance and have to import some. Hopefully, it won't come to this.

Quite frankly, we enjoy our lifestyle here in the San Francisco Bay Area... where we can start the day at Pebble Beach, work our way back to the Bay Area... and end up in Lake Tahoe... all in a single day.

To answer your question... "No, I am not a racist!"

Of course, if you happened to move next door to me... I'd have to move.

Just out of curiosity, why do you keep posting a picture of some farmland that's about to get some rain? Am I supposed to be ashamed of that or something? You do realize that I don't live or work on a farm, right?

Not that there'd be anything wrong with that.

I have many relatives and friends who do live/work on a farm or at least in a very rural area.

In many ways, I envy them and their lifestyle.

Farming is one of the most noble professions there is.

We used to have a farmer on this board. What ever happened to Trampis?

Especially the family farmer, of whom there are too few left. True 'salt of the earth' type people.

As a kid, I got to get out the KC ghetto every summer for a few weeks and stay with my Aunt and Uncle on their 160 acre farm outside Seneca, Kansas. They raised cattle, hogs and chickens for livestock. They grew corn and soybeans along with a humongous garden. You woke up with a rooster crowing as your alarm clock and did chores sunup to sundown to earn your dinner.

I didn't really know it at the time but in hindsight, those were some of the best days of my life.

and riskiest as well....when commodity prices are high, it's good to be a farmer....when the price of potatoes is $4, not so much.....
that's why good farmers stockpile their money away during boom years, because the next three are probably going to be busts....

I have this one buddy down in eastern Idaho that farms just a little over 10,000 acres, mostly potatoes, some corn, some soy beans, and contracted sugar beets.....you drive onto his farm and there is not a Kubota or Farmall tractor to be seen.....he drives strictly green, either John Deere or Stieger tractors

Or so they would have you believe. I don't hold farmers in any special reverence. Some are great people, more are worthless shitbags. They're no different than anyone else.

Could you get any more cliche? :meds:

Are you sure that was your family's farm and not the dozens of farms you've seen in movies and TV shows?
