Hello, everyone. The purpose of this thread is to assist m2 in getting the professional psychiatric help he needs to overcome his "issues" so that he can not only become a better person but also a better poster.

Now, m2, I realize that your natural response to this thread will be to lash out at me with anger and personal attacks...and I accept that. But rather than retaliate, I am going to let you get all of that resentment out of your system so we can move on to the next phase. What's the next phase, you ask? Please see below.

I've been in contact with several therapists around the Bay Area and finally settled on one I feel would be able to help you tremendously. His name is Dr. Paul Dubin and here is his bio:

My approach is best described as interactive, personable, nonjudgmental, and aimed at bringing about change that's both meaningful and real. I tend not to view people's issues or concerns as a form of pathology or neurosis, but rather as particular problems in living. I see each person as genuinely unique, and so avoid cookie-cutter approaches. My role is to help individuals and couples work through problems as effectively and efficiently as possible, in a way that builds confidence, self-respect, hope, and, ultimately, a fresh way of living life.

I draw from various sources for ideas and insights, including Humanism, Buddhism, social psychology, and cognitive science. I also specialize in clinical hypnosis, and make selective use of it in my counseling. I take my work seriously, and believe deeply in what I do.
Note: As with most psychologists, there is a fee associated with the first session. If, however, you do not wish to continue and feel, too, that our initial discussion was not very helpful, then I will respectfully waive that fee.

Dr. Dubin and I had a wonderful chat that lasted about 15 minutes. He asked me to describe some of your symptoms so I laid them out the best I could:

- Compulsive liar
- Feelings of insecurity and low self-esteem which are manifested through creating a false identity online
- Instigates "battles" in which the patient attempts to portray a superior level of sophistication, wealth, and intellect over others
- Alcohol and drug abuse (not 100% certain but most likely)

I had more to say but Dr. Dubin practically cut me off. He told me that he specializes in dealing with patients with these symptoms and should have "no trouble" helping m2. He sounded quite confident...perhaps even a little cocky...but I trust his judgment.

As you can see from his web page his rate is not cheap but I assured him that you are a very successful windchime salesman. If, however, chime sales are down this quarter, then we as a collective board can look into starting a fund to raise the money necessary for you to complete the treatment.

This is going to be quite an expensive endeavor. Is there a way we can offset the cost of potentially two complete emotional rebuilds?

I heard that TLC suddenly has holes in their lineup, due to the Duggar Bugger. Is there a way we can set a meeting to pitch a docu-series on m2 acceptance of his demons and journey through treatment? If this Dubin fellow is as advertised, he could be the next Dr Drew. The exposure would do wonders for Windchime industry too. With m2's celebrity status in the ren-faire community, a show like this will draw the 18-49 shun in/virgin demo in droves.

I'm guessing the series finale of m2 finally setting foot in Berkeley and attending his first Cal game. I'm thinking it can be "where were you" moment in television.
