I ate a Sonic once

While visiting the parents in TN, we ate at a Sonic, since it was the only thing in a very small town. It was really the worst fast food I've ever tasted. No one finished their meal. It was drive up, and I didn't need to hit up the bathroom before splitting with our food.
Someone else did though. In Kansas.

Are you sure that is a Sonic problem? Once in Memphis a friend said he knew of an awesome BBQ place. We drove over and while looking for a place to park we drove by. When I looked I saw the cook scratching his ass........with his hand in his pants. Needless to say we drove on....

Put me down for the "once, never again" club.
I rarely eat fast food (unless it's a burrito, which I do often). But Sonic was the most offensive thing I've ever been served (by someone on rollerskates, no less). I wish it was good, since they built one down the street from me.
Just fucking awful. Soaking the buns in the toilet might actually improve their fare, assuming the toilet hasn't been flushed recently.

I've heard they are coming to WNY. Thanks for the heads up. Will NOT issue.

It's almost worth it for the sheer "shock and awe" that they're still in business.

Really, who eats there? I wouldn't eat there if it was the only place in town.
The trolls are getting older and shouldn't be partaking in fast food anyway.
I know most of you don't. The only decent fast food is Chipotle and In and Out.

I've eaten Sonic more than twice. Not the best fast food in town but certainly not the worst either. What does one really expect from any fast food joint?
But I've never actually been inside a Sonic because the only ones I've been to are drive up or drive thru only. I dunno', maybe some of them did have walk ins with tables and stuff, but I've not noticed. I have seen some with outdoor patios.
Their tater tots aren't bad and I've been known to scarf down a foot long chili-cheese dog on occasion.

I'm sure no other fine dining establishment has ever done such horrible things. Be that as it may, I've had a couple of chilli-cheese hot dogs at the local Sonic here and did not get a case of Montezuma's revenge or any other issue. They were actually pretty tasty. I am not a stock holder or employee of said company.

I'll stick with location, location, loction. The Sonic in Tuscaloosa probably uses the men's restroom as a meat locker.
They do have at least one Sonic in San Diego, I tried it once about 20 years ago. It seemed just ordinary, but was clean and had an A hanging in the window. Which means they weren't storing food in the restrooms, no rats/feces or roach motels. Lol

There's one in Vista. I used to pass it every day on my way home from work and thought many times about stopping there, but never did. There's an In 'N Out on the same route, a lot closer to home.

The best thing at Sonic? The slushes. That's it. The rest is crap.
Extra best with rum.

About seven or eight years ago while I was traveling back east I decided to give them a try either in VA or NC. The burger was meh, and the fries actually had a soapy taste to them. No desire to give them another try even though they're now in the Puget Sound area.

Only go to Sonic for the frozen drinks.
They have a "happy hour" in the afternoon.
The tater tots are OK and semi-unique but not worth a special trip.

Culvers is absolutely the best fast food burger joint. Excellent frozen custard. Originated in God's Country, of course.

But what if the quality of ice at those establishments is subpar?

Why is that unfortunate, does the henpecker make you stop there and force feed you chili-cheese dogs?
Does it depress socal property values?
The unfortunate part, apparently, is when you bought a mouse and learned how to click the submit button.

If done without a proper buffer between the grease and residential properties, this is where your property values go.

Yes it is. We have two in town here in Eau Claire area. The specialties are kind of pricey but their burgers are the best, bar none.

Why would you even want that consistency for something you're going to suck through a straw? I'm sure you could do that with a Culver's Concrete Mixer, but personally I prefer the consistency of a typical malt shop shake.
