Re: Duane Allman Book
talk about what a waste dying in a car accident is, it's even more tragic to die in a motorcycle accident that probably wasn't his fault.....seriously, one of the best slide guitar players ever....I am a huge Allman Bros fan
get out, get out while there's still time
Re: Duane Allman Book
I don't get it.
If Duane was going down the street in the direction of the picture, then he was on the right hand side of the road. If the truck was coming the other direction, and was on the correct side of the road, then he was on the left as we see it. If he then turned onto the road on the left, he was making a right hand turn, and they never should have been in the same lane. Was Duane on the wrong side of the road or something?
Maybe the truck was turning left (to the right in the picture), across Duane's path, and Duane couldn't swerve far enough left?

Re: Duane Allman Book
Not sure he was wearing a helmet either. Allman Bros bassist Barry Oakley died the same way (going too fast on his motorcycle), in the same place about a year later, sad.
