God, I hate these Hallmark holidays, but dad's do deserve some recognition. Who doesn't like some love? I hope you all had a good holiday. The older we get, the more we appreciate our dad's.

What did you all do?

I'm sorry if your day was sad for any reason, also. Sometimes, these days are difficult for some.

My dad died in 2012 at age 91 just 10 months after my mom died at age 89. I've got plenty of good memories from both and I have some good genes from them also. They died of old age basically.

I was going to do yard work but it rained hard most of the day so I watched the Royals get pounded instead.

Thanks for the good wishes, trev.

We had breakfast at this little known place called the International House of Pancakes. This was his day, so I let him rant and rave about "kids today", Blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, gays, and Obama, without intervening.

Chatted (as it were) with my 2 year old identical twin granddaughters in Buffalo on Skype today. Reminded me of this:

Rack. I always liked the falvored syrups at the IHOPs.

Had breakfast with the wife and son at a local diner and dinner with pops at his house. Then went to see Mad Max with my brother and nephew. As a movie the highlight was the drummers who looked like Slipknot clones and the guy chained to a rig playing a double neck guitar. Good unclean fun was had by all.

Played golf with son and grandson. They let me win. Grandson is 13 years old and will be beating both of us by the end of summer.
