Women's World Cup Final

Alex Morgan gets a lot of run as the hottest player on the team, but Carli Lloyd is pretty hot too. And she's pretty good as well, three goals in the first 17 minutes and scores in four straight games.

I'll laugh if Sydney Leroux and her giant fake tits don't get in until 90:00 again, like she did in the last game, despite it being 4-0 already.

Rules, couldn't find any bikini shots of Lloyd, so WGAF.

Holy Moley, There's more scoring in this game than Moving Sale at a Cub Scouts retreat.

Are you implying that MicroLawyer has intercourse with children?

And the occasional prostitute, but I'm pretty sure he just pays them to cry in their arms.

Soccer is basically unwatchable but those USA ladies went Nagasaki and Hiroshima on those poor Jap girls... and I watched it.

It was like they were paying them back for Pearl Harbor, again.

The Guess Who would be proud.

Watched the odd game and didn't mind it. If it's competitive, level of skill doesn't really come into it.

What was nice was players playing for the love of it and showing up their male counterparts by not whinging and rolling around in fake agony, abusing the ref but behaving more like Sir Gary Lineker did. It's like going to watch your local team trying their best rather than the lazy, arrogant pricks you watch in the Premier league.

Saw a bit of the final and the US acting like lazy, arrogant pricks so switched it off :(

Man do we love to wave the flag. No one gave two shits about women's soccer 5 weeks ago and no one will again in another week. But watch out when we get a chance to wave the flag.

I have to give it to Leroux (actually I'd love to give it to Leroux), it's a pretty brilliant move on her part. She rarely plays, or at least, she only played about two minutes of mop up time in the two biggest games the team played. So she gets her name out there and some paparazzi photos with her fake boobs.

Bad press is better than no press.

A great day for Rochester's favorite lesbian, Abby Wambach. And Carli Lloyd looked like she was playing her own game of Jedi Master vs Padawans on the Canadian astropitch.

Carli Lloyd was nails during the last 4 games, but Megan Rapinoe is the most underrated player on that team. Wambach looks to be more of a clubhouse presence at this point (age 35, I believe). As a player, she's a shell of what she was 4 years ago.

Agreed on Abby. Yesterday was more of an affirmation than a statement of her current playing prowress. Baring a miraculous rejuvenation, her international career is finished. She will either play on her club team WNY Flash or she will pursue non playing opportunities.

Rapinoe was nails too. It was impossible to miss how often the American attack flowed through her side of the pitch.

She's not the brightest lamp in the shop. If she kept her old passport she'd get twice the airtime and playing time. She got booed off the pitch at BMO, so ran around giving the big one with the American flag to get back at the crowd. Afterward she was asked why she did that, she said 'I'm entitled to fight back against racist abuse'.

She was then asked if she was racially abused at BMO and said 'well no, I wasn't'.

Better a slightly less small fish in a small pond.

Please, tell me more. What is her old country? And where is BMO? Isn't that Edmonton? Another jerkoff playing the victim card when there is no victimization.

So did she get the fake boobs before or after she realized she wouldn't see playing time?

She's a canuck with less than average skills in the women's game. Bought some tits and thought she'd make it big in the US, she caught stick for it at BMO Field in Toronto during Canada/US and lost her shit. There's a desperate shortage of half-wits like her up here, she'd have got more exposure if she stayed.

Agreed, the ladies game is way more fun to watch.

They get the heck after it with a passion and zeal that isn't the least bit contrived.

As for the flag waving some have condescendingly alluded to...

What's wrong with being gratified that our bitches are better than your bitches?

Best soccer bitches in the world, that's a fact.

Rack Team USA!

Oh don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with waving the flag. Hell, I will shout USA USA USA with the rest of them. Just don't try to sell me that this is going to put soccer over the top here in the US.

Turn on the tv or radio and damn near everyone is talking about how this will propel soccer in the US to a status on par with the NFL and and NBA. Bullshit. We have been told that for the last 30 plus years. I grew up playing soccer and don't care about it at all today. Same with kids 20, 10 and 5 years ago. Soccer is the number 1 participation sport until kids reach HS and then it falls like a rock. These stats haven't changed much in decades. What has changed in the last week that will change the trend?

And remember, what ever answer you give to the last question has been stated before and was wrong.

I remember when people talked about how Kyle Rote Jr. was going to bring soccer on par to football & baseball. That was forty years ago or so.

Soccer just isn't an American sport.

If you "grew up" playing soccer, why don't you care about it anymore?
