Re: How does FSU keep finding these guys?

I'm sure the chick was asking for it, and went home and was abused by her boyfriend, thus vindicating this upstanding young man of any wrong doing.

Nothing. That is unless you let it happen.Goober McTuber wrote:What the hell does marriage have to do with giving up your free will and control of your life?
Well, if that's how you're inclined, you probably regularly givie up your free will and control of your life in a lot of your relationships regardless of whether you're married or not. Next thing you know, you're missing NFL games to watch a Tom Hanks film festival.BSmack wrote:Nothing. You had the benefit of the doubt by having just a brain stem, until that last gem. Man, the guy that tells a girl, "I do whatever I want, when I want, what I want, now let's fuck." Yeah...you get 'em by the truckload.I have never had an issue getting laid
Rack you, schmickity! Couldn't have said it better myself. What I find so incredibly offensive is how it's the societal brass ring and how men aren't considered mature or grown up or that there's something wrong with them for not having married. That men need to be culturalized and tamed by a woman. Complete and total garbage. Marriage and especially marriage with children is a huge, huge risk in modern society. Not only financially but emotionally. Who wants to go through that shit? Why buy when you can rent? Why buy when you can get the milk for free?schmick wrote:Goober McTuber wrote:What the hell does marriage have to do with giving up your free will and control of your life? Every fucker I know who got married had to start checking in with his wife, couldnt just take off to Vegas for a weekend without checking with his wife...if you cant do what you want, you have lost your free will and control of your life.
The challenged people are the ones that look at marriage like it is supposed to be a goal for some guy. Marriage is a goal for a bitch that doesnt want to have to get a job and find some sucker to buy her a house and a car and protect her. I bought my own house, I buy my own cars and I can protect myself. I have some ladies that come clean my house twice a week, I buy my groceries on line so I dont have to go to the grocery store and I have never had an issue getting laid... so what would the purpose of getting married be? The only benefit of marriage is the tax break and that should be illegal
Ahh yes, I remember MSU played Wisconsin that day. I wasn't missing that game. It wasn't a big deal, it was just a small wedding with a few family members. She was upset for maybe a day or two then got over it. BTW the broad he married (a police officer) turned out to be psycho and they are since divorced. Surprise surprise.Screw_Michigan wrote:I'll give Mgo a ton of credit. Wow, what anger. Probably getting pressure from a family member that wants grandkids or great grandkids. Otherwise a simple marriage isn't for me would work just fine.Screw_Michigan wrote:Rack you, schmickity! Couldn't have said it better myself. Why don't I just hit myself in the head with a ball peen hammer over and over? It would be the same as going through divorce with kids. Face facts, once you procreate, women have all the leverage and those days of you doing what you please are out of here. Want to spend a day watching football? Good fucking luck!
When I reach the age where I need someone to change my bedpan, I'll get married. I'll give Mgo a ton of credit. I remember him telling me about 10 years ago he told some woman he was dating at the time that he wouldn't go to a wedding with her (I believe it was her father's wedding, lol) because it was on a college football Saturday. I thought that was really harsh and I kind of disagreed with his take. But he was 100% on the fucking money for standing up for what he wanted. This is who the fuck I am and if you don't like it you can take a fucking hike. Rack you, Mgo!
To me the biggest hangup is having to share your place with another person. I need my personal space to do whatever the FUCK I want. Period.
Ah, that makes a lot of sense. But rack you, Schmickity. Don't let these haters get you down.schmick wrote:the trust

I stayed single into my mid-30s. Had a handful of serious girlfriends, none of which lasted more that a year. Met my wife in a bar, knew within a week that she was the one. Happily married for 26 years now. She has a good sense of humor, except when I introduce her as my first wife.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Marriage in and of itself isn't really the issue, it's an ever growing society of petty, entitled bitches and pansy ass men. Back in Goober's day, circa 1908, when people got married they stayed married. Marriage actually meant something to people then. Today the statistics say you've got a coin flip's chance of your marriage surviving. You can't blame a guy if he doesn't like those odds.

Insecurity over what people might think of you is a terrible reason to get married. You should only get married if that's something you value.Papa Willie wrote:1. Sounds like you did it right, Goobs. I can't see any compelling reason to get married before 35. Why spend the prime years of your life tied down?Goober McTuber wrote:I stayed single into my mid-30s. It seemed fairly obvious the discussion centered around freedom in one's personal life, not necessarily work life.Left Seater wrote:No business owner can do exactly what they want every minute of the day.
