Dave Dameshek: Cal. While I might be more excited than anyone outside Georgia or St. Louis to see what Gurley can do in the NFL, I have to make the responsible choice here and go with the Cal trio. Beast Mode is one of the two or three best runners around, D-Jax is no slouch and Rodgers is the best player on the planet. Bears = Golden.

Charley Casserly: Cal. Rodgers and Lynch outweigh the edge Georgia has at receiver.

Chase Goodbread: Cal. The Bears are rock-solid across the board. Meanwhile, Georgia can only be carried so far with a running back who hasn't yet toted the football on the NFL level.

Conor Orr: Cal. I'll take Cal, because there's too much uncertainty on Georgia's side -- and because Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers.

Mike Huguenin: Cal. Green gets the nod over Jackson, but Rodgers and Lynch each win their matchups, and the Golden Bears are indeed golden.

In its history, Cal has now claimed 89 national team titles in 15 different sports and has 283 individual (172), crew (51), swimming relay (43), tennis doubles (14) and track relay (3) national champions. In all, Golden Bear student-athletes have won 172 individual national titles while competing in boxing, men's and women's track & field, men's and women's tennis, men's gymnastics, men's and women's swimming, and men's and women's golf.

Since its first national championship in 1920 (football team), Cal has had at least one national champion (either team, individual, crew, tennis doubles or relay) in 80 of 95 years. And, the Bears have had at least one national champion every year since the 1973-74 season (1973 men's water polo team), making it 42 straight years of national champions at Cal.

That being said, I spent one year at the Univ. of California before deciding to leave and start my own business which I still run today, albeit on a much more hands off approach due to the quality of people I've hired.

Over the last 5 years... I've been dealing in venture capital with the tards that now inhabit the financial dist, the mission district, and silicon valley. I've never come across a more socially "inept" group of people in my life. I literally had to sit down with one of the engineers and tell him... if "x" has anything he'd like to say... tell him to stop for a minute and then write down what is on his mind for the next two minutes and present it to the team.

According to the NCAA, Cal's claim of 89 national team titles is bullshit. You can look at the list on that page, or you can click on the references at the bottom of the page which will take you directly to a pdf file published by the NCAA. In both places, you will see a certain university located in Baton Rouge ranked higher than Cal.
