The south does soul/country food well. Anything ethnic is a crapshoot. When we lived in TN, I was out for a sunday drive with the family and we decided to stop for a pizza in Fairview, Tn. Well, the view might be OK in Fairview, but what they brought out could best be described as really, really bad store brand microwave pizza. If someone tried to serve that in places that take a little pride in their dago food, they'd be lynched. I am sure you can get a good pie in Atlanta, but prolly not in bacon. It took me over 2 years to find a decent pizza in Nashville. I asked a fellow "damn yankee"* who had been there about 15 years. He told me about a place that had honest to g0d right off the boat dagos.
