I saw some of the tweets. Those aren't even the best green Under Armour jerseys out. The designation would belong to us:

I like a lot of the newer helmets nowadays with the various hydrochrome and matte finishes and whatnot. What I don't get is the obsession with all the pattern on the unis themselves. They're fucking football jerseys not argyle sweaters.

The NCAA rules committee looked at uniforms this offseason but took no action. I imagine they will next rules cycle which would start with the 2017 season. Remember the committee is college coaches so maybe they will reign themselves in this way and say something else publicly.

One thing some of the more tradition rich and historic programs are doing is allowing the players to design practice jerseys which resemble the Oregon, Maryland and now ND look. The players like it and the fans don't really see it so everyone is happy.

This is a one off uniform that ND has been doing every year since 2010 for their Shamrock Series game.

The worst part of those wasn't even shown, which was the green pants. Why green on green you ask? Well, because they are playing Boston College in Fenway park, so they used the Green Monstah theme.

It's all fucking stupid. As is the barnstorming aspect of the Shamrock Series. Here are their uniforms for each game:

2010 - Very good:


2011 - Gumball helmet, not so good:


2012 - Fucking horrible. Jersey isn't half bad, but the helmet and pants are atrocious:


2013 - Not bad, actually. Kinda liked these when they played in Jerrah's house:


2014 - Meh. Don't like the same color for jersey and pants, but not offensive:


2015 - What. The. Fuck. Awful:


The excuse is, "recruits like them." You know what else recruits like? Winning.
