During my 40 years of officiating football I developed a great respect for those kids who played on crappy teams. They'd go 0-10 for the season, usually getting the snot kicked out of them in games, but they never quit. They must have showed up for practice every time and suited up for games knowing they would likely end up on the short end of the score. One season my last three games were of teams that both were 0-7, 0-8, and 0-9 respectively. We got our schedules before the season starts, so the assignor could not have planned it. Anyway they were three of my more competitive games, for obvious reasons. For them, if they still give out sport's "letters", getting one was their reward.

Plyometric Cardio Circuit training. Builds leg strength, quickens foot speed, increases power, flexibility and stanima. Started it with the U13 kids 1 day a week and it did wonders, 60 yard times, pitch velocity, hitting, base running, fielding. Then we moved it to 2 days a week, one day with the U13s and one with the 14s and up. Some of the club programs make it mandatory for their players, others make it optional and there are always new kids looking to get on one team or another who train at our facility and hear about or see the classes and sign up.

Now I work with another facility one day a week helping them build their program and have had contact from a couple of the larger club programs in possibly doing something with them a day a week or so.

Yeah, but did you make any of them puke and/or cry? That's most important here.
