Will a program ever break the top 4 from a sub-conference?

sans ND and BYU of course.

Will the polls and computers ever allow it to happen?

What would it take to get in?

All 2 loss teams from the Super 5?

If it ever does happen, who is the most likely to get in first?

Uhm... you know they don't use the computer rankings anymore, right?

I'm not sure a "mid-major" ever will. Maybe if they scheduled Alabama, tOSU and Baylor or something and had blowout wins, to compensate for their crappy conference schedules.

Boise State has the clout to do it, but I agree with Dins in that they'd have to have a loaded non-con schedule and steam roll their conference schedule.

Isn't Utah now in the PAC 14? Conference expansion has taken the best of the "mid majors" and given them power conference homes.

Utah and Colorado were added to change the Pac-10 to make it the Pac 12. I'm sure you knew that. I guess having a State name seemed to justify making a power conference.
