Northwestern getting 12.5 was a freebie but I didn't expect that performance. The Cats won the battles in the trenches which was... shocking.

ASU is looking overmatched too. Not a good day for the PAC.

Anyway, good thing Cal beat a worthy adversary.

And there is the Schmick we have all come to expect. Condoning a play that was a foul and got the player ejected.

No but my parents are (were). Went to every home game for about 12 years, including all of Plunkett's career. Also occasional hoops, baseball, even track, swimming & H2O polo.

The football team is notorious for getting a slow start in September. But yesterday was just pathetic. I think Shaw has risen to and passed his level of incompetence.

I heard the GSU band put on a pretty good show yesterday.

Not to mention abandoning his fake-tough coach persona to admonish someone for running up the score.

We used to go to the Stanford - USC games when I was stationed at NAS Moffett Field. I haven't been to the new (remodeled?) stadium but that is a really beautiful campus.

On one hand, I'm sure they wanted to get Adams as many reps as possible before the trip to East Lansing. On the other, they had to realize Eastern Washington was most likely TRYING to inflict physical harm on Adams so keeping him in the game longer than necessary probably wasn't the brightest idea.

Best thing to come out of the first two weeks -

Bryce Love

Maybe the fastest freshman in the country. His line yesterday:

2 rec 135 yards
2 carry 8 yards

Hopefully USC will be as easy as UCF.
